Subscriber Retention

A systematic and personalized approach to keeping your readers.

Timely, repetitive, and personalized renewal requests

Sustained circulation revenue is crucial to any healthy publication — and these days it takes more than a mailed billed to maintain your list. Workbench sends a series of physical letters, postcards, and emails to your subscribers when it comes time to renew, and gives them convenient options for self-service or connecting with your team.

Keeping – and growing – your digital-only subscribers is often overlooked, but Workbench makes it simple. Both print and digital-only subscribers get the same first-class treatment — we'll connect with your subscribers with whatever contact methods we can.

Handling lapsed subscribers

When a subscription lapses, Workbench revokes website paywall access and stops print delivery (if they were a print subscriber). If a user later logs into the website to look at content, they are prompted to renew.

"Lapsed", not "Lost"

"Gone for now" doesn't have to mean "gone for good"! Even after a subscriber lapses, they'll continue to receive Workbench's content marketing like Breaking News Alerts and new e-Edition notifications. All these emails link back to your paywalled content, and serve as implicit renewal requests. Users can opt-out anytime.
